The ICAI free webinar, Academic Integrity Before and After the Beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic, will be on Dec. 2, 2021 at noon EST.
What has changed in academic integrity with the COVID-19 Pandemic? This webinar will present a study that collected survey data from more than 1,300 students at several universities in Romania and the United States, using a retrospective pretest design to compare the year before the beginning of the pandemic to the year after the beginning of the pandemic.
Our speakers will share the study results including:
- Changes in beliefs and experiences related to academic misconduct comparing before and after the shift to online instruction.
- Differences between countries on these beliefs and behaviors.
- Possible interactions between country and time on these beliefs and behaviors.
- The extent to which the sources used for academic misconduct changed comparing before and after the shift to online instruction.
- The extent to which academic standing, gender identity, and academic specialty predict academic misconduct before and after the shift to online instruction.
- How students explain changes in academic misconduct that they believe occurred before and after the shift to online instruction.
