For the last 5 years, the field of open data has been actively developing in Ukraine, providing an incentive for economic development.
So what is open data and where to look for it?
Open data can represent research data and be stored in institutional repositories and on open platforms such as re3data, Kaggle.
✓ open Creative Commons license;
✓ open-access;
✓ open machine-readable format.
But most often we hear about open state data, which serves as a tool for evaluating and monitoring the work of government and the state. Open data helps to make informed decisions, find opportunities to save and improve their activities.
In Ukraine, all public government information is collected on the Open Data Portal.
On the Library's website, in the Data Sources section, open data resources of international organizations, domestic institutions, and data search resources are selected.
The other day a new educational series "Open Data for Business" was presented. The series consists of three series lasting 10-12 minutes.
