Until January 1, 2020 trial access to SciVal.com platform from Elsevier's is provided. SciVal is one of the best tools for monitoring and analyzing international scientific research using visualization techniques and modern metrics, benchmarking, finding scientific partners, researching current scientific trends and finding management solutions, creating unique reports for organizing research activities.

The source of data for SciVal is the Scopus database.

Using advanced data analytics, SciVal lets you instantly process much information:

  • more than 50 million publications (since 1996) from more than 22,000 journals of 5,000 publishers worldwide;
  • access to research information from over 14,000 research institutions and related researchers from 230 countries with over 280 trillion metric values enables to generate a powerful data analysis and visualization.

The SciVal system consists of several working modules of various purpose:

«Overview» - visualization of research results;

«Benchmarking» - comparing statistics from different organizations, institutions and universities, comparing research groups and individual researchers with different metrics;

«Collaboration» - visualization of the cooperation geography and analysis of co-authored publications; search for potential cooperation in specific sectors, countries, continents;

«Trends» - overview of current scientific directions, definition of research strategy and priority areas of work;

«Reporting» - creation of reports specifically designed to support an institution's research strategy.

 

SciVal performs the following functions:

  • supports the needs of the users wide range of the organization, providing them with ready data for detailed and institutional-oriented analysis
  • allows you to look through the data of existing groups and create any other group of organizations at will
  • enables export of data from all modules and export of graphs in «Benchmarking» module
  • allows you to look through and edit self-created research groups, publication sets and research topics

To getting access, you should be in Sumy State University local network and have an Elsevier's activated account.
