On December 7, a meeting was held with Anastasia Kotlyar, a graduate of Sumy State University, Ukrainian journalist, TV journalist, poet, candidate for membership of the Union of Writers of Ukraine, screenwriter, editor, member of the literary studio «Orpheus», theater and film actress, and practicing psychologist.
During the training, student journalists learned how to speak confidently in front of the camera and run their own blog. Together with the actress-psychologist, they performed exercises that help calm down before filming. They did diction exercises and learned secrets from a professional on how to deal with nerves in any extreme situation.
«Some percentage of camera fear will stay with you forever. This is a sign of your mental health and adequacy. This anxiety is necessary. Even experienced actors talk about the fact that they feel anxious. Therefore, you need to learn to work with this feeling», - Anastasia said.
The participants of the training were really a bit stiff at first, but after the first exercises they were unrecognizable. And at the end of the meeting, they actively asked their own questions about the beginning of the guest's career, her creative path and student life.
«The first thing that really impressed me was the format of the training. We had the opportunity to experience all the techniques and exercises in practice. Anastasia is a very positive person and by her example motivates to go forward, not to stop at the first failure. The meeting was very useful and quite interesting!», - third-year student journalist Anastasia Sabchuk shared her impressions.
Anastasia also talked about the possibilities of participating in castings for various roles and shared her own experience of acting. She advised students to study actively, not to be afraid of mistakes and to have the courage to be themselves.
We sincerely thank our guest for an interesting master class!
